Hi to all the scrapbookers out there! As you may have noticed we have not posted anything new for a while. Just to let you know what is going on. Earlier this year Wendy’s husband was presented with a job opportunity and their family decided to move. We discussed what to do with WOW Scrapbooks and decided at the time to not produce anything new. Maybe in the future that will change but for now our joint venture will not continue. We will leave some of the tutorials out here to be purchased but new ones will not be added. The blog will be cleaned up over the next couple of weeks to remove those that are no longer available and rehi-light the ones that are.

Wendy and I each have our own blogs where you can find Scrapbook ideas along with other Stamping Projects including creations with the new My Digital Studio software from Stampin’ Up!. I know Wendy is using this right now because all of her items have not yet arrived in their new home – they made a BIG move – and it is taking months to get everything to them. All of our layouts are 100% Stampin’ Up! These great pages use stamps, inks, papers and accessories from the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalog and/or the Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. Stampin’ Up! products from the Occasions Mini Catalog can be ordered from your demonstrator through the end of April 2010 – if you don’t have a demonstrator already we can order items for you just send us an email. The layouts are easy to adapt to other stamp sets if you don’t have the ones that we used.

Full kits ordered by 30th of the month will include a paper & embellishment pack. Instruction only options can be ordered at any time.

Stamp sets, Stampin’ Around wheels, ink pads, adhesives and other tools can be ordered in addition to your kit if you need them. These will be shipped separately from your WOW Scrapbook Kit supplies. Please send us an email to wowscrapbookkits@gmail.com for any Stampin’ Up! products that you need to order – a list follows of additional supplies that you will need to complete the layouts exactly as they were designed. You may want substitute items that you may already have on hand.

Your Wow Scrapbook kit will include step-by-step instructions to create each layout (three 2-page 12″ x 12″ layouts) including all measurements, color photographs, and WOW tips. Full kits ordered by the 30th of the month will include a paper & embellishment pack. We used the Big Shot Die Cut Machine along with various Sizzix dies to create pieces of these layouts. Die cut pieces will be included as part of the embellishment pack.

This month’s Wow Scrapbook kit includes three layouts. The first one is a Christmas layout featuring the Patterned Pines stamp set and the Rock & Roll technique. The second one features the very popular Dasher stamp and the Merry Moments Designer Series paper. The third layout is designed as an elegant black & white (with Real Red accents) New Years layout but could be used for other occasions by substituting the A Brand New Year stamp set with another set – how about a Wedding page? Your kit will include step-by-step instructions to create each layout including all measurements, color photographs, and WOW tips. So November and December are very busy months for us and I’m sure for all of you too. We’re late, late, late getting this kit posted and there won’t be a new one for January. The next new set will be out in February. But remember that we have the instructions for individual layouts (including some not offered in a kit) available at any time – so take a minute to check those out by clicking under the INDIVIDUAL SCRAPBOOK LAYOUTS section on the right-hand-side bar. All of our layouts are 100% Stampin’ Up!

We have decided to change our schedule just slightly. The beginning and end of each month tend to be a busy time for us in our businesses so we have decided that the new WOW Scrapbook Kit for each month will be posted after the first week of the month. And we will take Full kit orders until the 30th of each month. The tutorials will begin emailing after the second week of the month if you are ordering the tutorial only. If you order the Full kit the instructions will ship with your paper & embellishment pack. Hopefully this schedule will work better into our businesses.

This month’s Wow Scrapbook kit includes three layouts. The first one is a Halloween layout featuring the Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper and the Halloween Hoot stamp set. The second one features the Always stamp set and two of our new In-Colors – Soft Suede and Dusty Durango. The third layout was designed to be used in a baby scrapbook but would also work for zoo pictures – this layout uses the Baby-Wipe Technique (when you have a baby you have lots of baby wipes around – you may as well use them to stamp with!). Your kit will include step-by-step instructions to create each layout including all measurements, color photographs, and WOW tips. Full kits ordered by November 30th will include a paper & embellishment pack. We used the Big Shot Die Cut Machine along with various Sizzix dies to create pieces of these layouts. The Stampin’ Write Markers are something we use often in our Wow Scrapbook layouts so we wanted to share some more information about this Stampin’ Up! product. You might not think of these as a tool but the Stampin’ Write markers are a great investment. Even if you don’t ever buy all the Stampin’ Up! classic ink pads if you have the full set of markers you will always have all the ink colors right at your finger tips!

Quick Trick

To achieve a soft, watercolor look, outline your image with a Stampin’ Write marker, and then use a blender pen, Aqua Painter, or water-dampened watercolor brush to pull and blend the marker colors into the area you desire. You can custom-color images by coloring directly on the stamp. Use the flexible brush tip on its side to shade and blend colors right on the rubber. The fine point lets you easily color small areas of the stamp. You can also omit parts of the design by coloring only those features you want to stamp.

Store markers on their sides to keep ink evenly distributed between both tips.
